Juneteenth Pride Learning Lab

Juneteenth Pride was born out of a desire to elevate the inclusion and celebration of Black LGBTQIA+ individuals at Juneteenth events and to highlight LGBTQIA+ people of color within Pride celebrations.

Owned and operated by The Motley Consulting Group, LLC- Juneteenth Pride (JP) was conceptualized by Dr. Monica Motley (she/they), and launched its first project (Juneteenth Pride Party) in 2019. Closely followed by a second project (The Grey Book). More specifically, JP is an extension of The Motley Consulting Group’s mission to address community disparities and public health dilemmas using innovative design. Hence, JP is an innovative strategy showcasing the commitment of equity, intersectionality, and well-being for BIPOC Queer folks in both rural and metropolitan areas.
